. Dr Levy Mwanawasa, President of Zambia (2002 to 2008) (President Mwanawasa memorial page) Our hearts are filled with sadness to learn about the loss of our President, Dr Levy Mwanawasa, on August 19th, 2008. No words can express our grief during this time of mourning of our Zambian President.
We will deeply miss Dr Levy Mwanawasa. He was more than the President of Zambia. He was an exemplary leader of hope and development in Southern Africa, and the world.
His service and sacrifices for Zambia and all humanity will be held in our hearts forever. We thank him for his selfless service to Zambia and to all humanity.
Our memories of him will give us strength and faith that Zambia is in God’s hands. Zambia will fear no evil for God is with us. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,” (Psalm 33:12).
May his soul rest in peace as his death transitions him from time to eternity. May God bless Zambia. Please click here to sign President Mwanawasa’s memorial guestbook
Stand and sing of Zambia, proud and free, Land of work and joy in unity, Victors in the struggle for the right, We have won freedom's fight. All one, strong and free…
Praise be to God, Praise be, praise be, praise be, Bless our great nation, Zambia, Zambia, Zambia. Free men we stand Under the flag of our land. Zambia, praise to thee! All one, strong and free. (Excerpt from the Zambian national anthem) ------------------------------------------
Miss me, but let me go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free…
For this is a journey that we must all take And each must go alone It’s all a part of the Master’s plan A step on the road to home (Author Unknown)
