Zambia Travel for Business Tourism and Agri Tourism

In terms of business and agriculture Zambia’s economy is operating below capacity and its potential. Thus there are many business and agricultural opportunities in Zambia. Dr Caleb M Fundanga, Governor of the Bank of Zambia said Zambia’s economy is expected to grow by 6.2 percent in 2008.

Zambia has the fourth largest copper reserves in the world. Among other minerals in abundance are gold, cobalt, uranium, manganese, coal, Mica, Lead/Zinc, Phosphates, sulfur (sulphur), etc. Other natural resources keep being found in substantial quantities annually. For example, Lumwana, an area in the North Western province of Zambia, was found to have one of the world's largest undeveloped copper deposits. It was also found to have vast amounts of gold, cobalt and uranium.

Zambia’s agriculture remains among the least exploited sectors of the economy. Zambia is blessed with one of Africa’s best water reserves, precipitation and land for different agribusiness needs.

Zambia is a democracy and is a country that has been peaceful since obtaining its independence in 1964. Zambia was instrumental in colonial liberation struggles of some of its Southern African neighbours, namely Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, and Namibia.
