Charles Mwewa is the president and founder of Our-Zambian Forum (OZAFO), a Zambian-registered NGO with economic and democratic vision for the Zambia of the 21st Century. Charles Mwewa is the president of the Zambian Canadian Foundation (ZAMCAN), an organization which is a resource centre for Zambian Canadians and which also promotes social and cultural activities and provides information to persons interested in Zambian Canadian affairs. Charles Mwewa is also the facilitative chairman of the Zambian Canadian Friendship Association (ZACAFA) which acts as the umbrella organization of all Zambian Canadian associations across Canada. An accomplished author, Charles Mwewa has penned such books as the Seven Laws of Influence; The Seven Laws of Love; Song of an Alien (poetry); The Burden of Zambia; and his greatest and up-coming work, Zambia: Struggles of My People. Zambia: Struggles of My People is scheduled to be published in 2011 and can be sourced at www.zambiastruggle.com. A gifted communicator and speaker, Charles addresses audiences on such issues as motivation, self-development and leadership. He is a quintessential community leader and organizer whose talents are evident; such as when he coordinated the formation of ZACAFA by leveraging divergent interests across Canada with the adoption of the organization’s by-laws, and beyond. Charles Mwewa has three passions: family, law and politics. Charles’ driving force is God whom he honours and reverends with a clear conscience. Charles is a lover of the art of prayer and he preaches to churches and prayer groups regularly. Charles both writes and enjoys poetry. His poetry book, Song of an Alien, is a collection of poems he has written in the period of 15 years. The book is dedicated to Professor Charles Calder, who influenced Charles with the art of rhetoric (public speech) and of poetry explication techniques. Charles Mwewa is a prototypical researcher, as can be evidenced in his work, Zambia: Struggles of My People; a book of over 850 pages, over 2000 footnotes, with over 350 bibliographic references. |
